How to Import and Export Products with CSV Use the Products import/export controls to move catalogue data. The importer uses supported Shopify-style CSV fields. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BEFORE IMPORTING * Export existing products and keep an unchanged copy. * Start with a small sample file. * Imports can update existing products as well as create new ones. * Check handles and prices carefully. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREPARE THE FILE * Use a comma-separated CSV or TXT file. * Use the export as a reference for supported column headings. * Review URL handle, Title, Price, Compare-at price, options, images and SEO fields. * Keep each product’s variant rows grouped under the same handle. * Use image URLs that the importer can access. * Keep existing handles when updating the same products. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORT THE PRODUCTS 1. Open Products and choose the import action. 2. Select your CSV/TXT file. 3. Choose Import CSV. 4. Wait for the result. 5. Review the created, updated and variant counts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHECK THE IMPORTED PRODUCTS * Open several products in the list. * Check photos, prices, options and availability. * Open the products in your store. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EXPORT PRODUCTS 1. Choose the export action in Products. 2. Keep the downloaded CSV. 3. Check what the export includes before treating it as a complete backup. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IF IMPORT FAILS * Read the row number and error message. * Check headers, commas and quoted text. * Check Title and URL handle values. * Read any limit or permission error. * Check the product list before uploading the same file again.
